Exterior French Drain System
An exterior French drain is a gravel-filled trench that contains a perforated pipe designed to efficiently capture both surface water and groundwater before it reaches your foundation.

How It Works
- Water enters the system through the gravel and perforated pipe
- Subsurface drainage tile collects and directs water using natural gravity flow
- Water is safely channeled away from your home to a designated outlet, such as a storm drain, dry well, or a lower/ safe discharge area on your property
Why It Matters
By managing water at the source, an exterior French drain:
- Relieves hydrostatic pressure around your foundation
- Prevents surface pooling and soil saturation
- Protects against basement leaks and moisture intrusion
- Helps avoid long-term structural damage
- Reduces the risk of mold and damp-related issues
